A quick render to practice composition and lighting and some posing, somewhat inspired by dark souls styled illustrations.
Theme is some old tribal summoning.
I mainly tried to give an imposing weight to the statue by shoving the camera as close to the ground as possible, yet even with high field of view it looked a bit weak, so I went and used a fish eye lens which helped circle the composition better.
Volumetric where okay but maybe if I had more time I would had added more elements to the background, maybe falling leaves.
I did not want the cultist to distract much so I simply gave them no shader, because of the volumetrics it just looks like a high diffuse black material rather than some uncanny completely black shadeless thing.
Also depth of field to make the foreground less distracting.
